Kindergarten has had a very busy week! The students have done a fantastic job learning all their new concepts. They have learned how to count by 5's and count by 10's, they know how much a penny, dime, and our newest coin learned, a nickle is worth. Our latest special sound is "th" in this. A copy of our special sound chart will be sent home in each student's folder. Students have also learned half past the hour when telling time. This week's work introduced many new concepts. Any extra practice at home will help the students progress in their school work, and keep up the great reading practice.

Dr. Seuss week will be March 4th-8th.

Kindergarten did AMAZING singing their song for homecoming!! I'm so proud of everyone!

Next week, Kindergarten will be having a Valentine’s Day party on Thursday.  During the party, the kids will be exchanging valentines that they need to bring in no later than Wednesday, the 13th.  The class has the option of buying a “mailbox” for the valentines they receive, or if this is something yo would rather not purchase, the children can use the “pouch” they made in art class.  If either the valentines or mailbox is a hardship on anyone, please send me a private message, and I will gladly help!

The bible verse for the week will be:  "T" Thou God seest me.  ~ Genesis 16:13
