Ms. Hines  May 4 -May 8, 2020 Packet 4

Concepts to practice daily

Phonics:  Continue to practice special sound charts as much as possible (preferably once a day)
Numbers:  Continue to practice as much as possible counting to 100 by 1’s, 5’s and 10’s (counting by 2’s to 100 will now be incorporated) clocks and coins (penny, nickel, dime, and quarter)

{In order to more accurately grade/scale where the students are I’m going to be asking that (if you can) once a week have your student read 1 page from reading book to me.  You can send a video just like you do with the bible verse.}

I will post video on class dojo for any NEW CONCEPTS

Monday May 4

BIBLE:  worksheet pgs. 53-54 refer to Luke 16:19-31
PHONICS:  Reading Book:  Read 1 story (if student sails through smoothly and feels they can do more than 1 story that is fine)
    Review special sound charts
NUMBERS:  Review counting, clocks and coins
                   Worksheet pg. 65 Introducing counting by 2’s
                   (JACK HARTMAN: count by 2/dancing 2’s/skip counting)
God’s World SCIENCE/HEALTH:   pgs. 27-33 (student can simply listen while being read to.  Coloring and writing answers can be done at your discretion)  
  
Tuesday May 5

PHONICS:  pgs. 171 & 172
Reading Book—Review story(s) from yesterday focusing on smoothness                                                                           Practice special sound charts
NUMBERS:  Review counting, clocks and coins
God’s World SCIENCE/HEALTH:  Read pgs. 34-38
HANDWRITING:  pgs. 167-168

Wednesday May 6

BIBLE:  worksheet pgs. 55 & 56 refer to Luke 19:1-10
PHONICS:  Reading Book: Read 1 story (if student sails through smoothly and feels they can do more than 1 story that is fine)
                   Practice special sound charts
NUMBERS: Focus on the area most challenging and do a “hands on” activity with them. Ex: if coins are challenging play “store” If addition or subtraction is challenging make addition or subtraction problems using items around the house
 Review counting, clocks and coins
God’s World SCIENCE/HEALTH:  Read pgs. 39-46 (student can simply listen while being read to.  Coloring and writing answers can be done at your discretion)      
Thursday May 7

PHONICS:  Reading Book—Review story(s) from yesterday focusing on smoothness                                                                                 
              Practice special sound charts
NUMBERS:  pgs. 121 & 122
 Review counting, clocks and coins
God’s World SCIENCE/HEALTH:  pgs 47-49

Friday May 8


PHONICS:  Send video or call with student reading 1 page from reading book   Pgs. 183-184 (coloring optional)
NUMBERS:  Review counting, clocks and coins (Focus on counting by 2’s and subtraction)
God’s World SCIENCE/HEALTH:  Read pgs 50-53
